Purple and White Round Mandala Cast Glass Box with Bead Finial by Jeri Warhaftig.
This box was made from Bullseye Glass and Enamel. The designs are permanently sandblasted into the surface. The bottom part is made from neodymium glass which changes from blue to purple in different lights. It comes with the artist's card. It measures 3.5″ w x 3.5″ h.
About the Artist
Jeri Warhaftig is the recent past president of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers. She is a glass artist and teacher who worked collaboratively with her husband, Neil Fabricant. Through collaborative work with designer Ronnie Lambrou, Jeri's beads have been featured in complex necklaces that have been included in gallery exhibitions across the country. Two of her pieces are included in the ISBG Presidents Collection at the Corning Museum of Glass.
Jeri is the author of Glass Bead Workshops and Creating Glass Beads, published by Lark. Jeri and Neil manufacture, teach and sell Puffy Mandrels, the unique mandrel used for making hollow beads. She is considered an expert in cold working glass and intricate sandblasted glass designs. Many of them can be seen on her cast glass boxes. She is also a prolific borosilicate chain artist making a wide array of chains in varying colors, sizes, and styles.
