Privacy

Our Privacy Commitment

WheatonArts is committed to protecting the privacy of its in-person and online guests, customers, members, donors, and friends. We understand that maintaining the privacy of individuals involved with WheatonArts and on WheatonArts’ website is very important and that informing our visitors about the types of information we collect and how we use it is crucial to the center’s mission.

Personal Information

Personal information is any information that can be used to distinguish, identify, or contact a specific individual. This information can include an individual’s name, contact information, opinions, and family relationships. Personal information might be obtained from online transactions such as purchases, donations, registrations, and membership pledges.

Any personal information provided to WheatonArts is maintained and accessible only to a select group of staff. WheatonArts has appropriate security measures in place at our institution to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you.

You may use the WheatonArts website without registering or submitting any personally identifiable information.

Privacy Practices

WheatonArts has adopted safeguards intended to ensure that all personal information is kept confidential and secure. Access is given only to employees who must use the personal information for the reason for which it was obtained. Measures are in place to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information that we have.

The information that we collect in person and online is used solely for contact with the individual who has given us their personal information and for internal purposes. We do not share, disclose, transfer, lend, or sell any personal information of our supporters and website users (including information we obtain when you purchase a membership or make a donation online, by mail, by telephone or in person) to other individuals or organizations for commercial or any other purposes.

We do not collect personally identifiable information about individuals—such as their names and postal and/or email addresses—except when it is knowingly provided by such individuals. WheatonArts is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit in-person or browse our website or make a purchase onsite or online.

When you purchase a WheatonArts membership or make a donation to WheatonArts online, we will ask you to provide us with the information we need to process your membership and/or to acknowledge your contribution. This information includes your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction. When you sign up for a membership, your personal data will be entered into our membership database.
