Dogwood Blossoms earring

by David Howell and Co.

If you are visiting WheatonArts in the Spring, you may see flowering dogwoods in bloom while strolling our forested grounds. This Eastern native ornamental tree is rich in legend and its beauty has inspired through the ages.

Featuring two layers of giclee print dogwood branches, these hypo-allergenic post earrings have a 2″ length. Made of solid brass, and elctro-plated with non-tarnishing silver finish.

Each pair of earrings is elegantly presented in a 3″ x 4.25″ lidded box with insert.

These earrings were inspired by two early 20th century American art sources. The first is the stain glassed window Dogwood, ca.1900-1915, created by the Tiffany Studios. The second is the painting Dogwood Blossoms, ca. 1906 by the American Impressionist Willard Metcalf. Both share a delight in the color and form of this elegant and wonderful tree.

For more than 30 years, David Howell & Company has specialized in the design and manufacturing of sophisticated, museum quality gifts – made in America.
