About the Artist- David Duthie WheatonArts Volunteer, Doylestown, PA

David puts his own unique design into creating his artworks. Each piece of glass is handblown with skill. His Handkerchief vases put a new spin on the flower vase. While the glass is still hot on the blowpipe, David spins it out and lets the glass collapse in on itself creating ruffles in the glass. Each vase is unique and displays fresh flowers very nicely.

David also works in the crackle glass technique. His Flat Glass Pitchers are vibrant and functional. To achieve this process the glass needs to be plunged into cold water and then reheated.
While using these classic techniques David is still able to achieve a contemporary design.
