
Introduction to Soft Pastels for Young Artists

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Saturday, repeating until September 30, 2023
Utilizing the beautiful grounds and gardens at WheatonArts, participants will experience observing nature to inspire and create original pastel works of art! Participants will be introduced to pastel and drawing techniques and color blending for landscapes and still-life compositions, all while enjoying expressing themselves through art.

Seats are limited and booked on a first-come, first-reserve basis. Besides an auto-generated email receipt, you will receive a confirmation email from the Director of Education and Artist Services, Pamela Weichmann. CANCELATION POLICY: Refunds are eligible up to one week before the beginning of the workshop. After this time, workshop fees are non-refundable. WheatonArts reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to minimum enrollment. If cancellation occurs, WheatonArts will refund all workshop fees. A $25 fee is charged to those who do not show up for their appointment. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment; otherwise, it will be considered a no-show, except in the case of illness. Are you feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19? COVID NOTE: *Following New Jersey State’s definition, people are considered “fully vaccinated” for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine, and any booster doses for which they are eligible as recommended by the CDC. Vaccines must be currently authorized for emergency use or approved by the FDA or the WHO. Class participants will be required to show proof of vaccination to participate. Instructors will be wearing masks. Participants are strongly encouraged to wear masks as well; however not required.
