Ceramic Luminaries

$67.50 – $75.00Learn how to create a luminary, ceramic candle holder, using high-fire clay. Ceramic Artist Phyllis Seidner-Vesely will guide you through the process of carving and embellishing your own luminary to add to your collection of handmade home decor. At the end of the class you will choose your glaze and your instructor will apply the glaze and fire your piece.

All registrants for Pottery workshops must be fully vaccinated* against COVID-19 to participate.
Seats are limited and booked on a first-come, first-reserve basis. Besides an auto-generated email receipt, you will receive a confirmation email from the Director of Education and Artist Services, Pamela Weichmann. CANCELATION POLICY: Refunds are eligible up to one week before the beginning of the workshop. After this time, workshop fees are non-refundable. WheatonArts reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to minimum enrollment. If cancellation occurs, WheatonArts will refund all workshop fees. A $25 fee is charged to those who do not show up for their appointment. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment; otherwise, it will be considered a no-show, except in the case of illness. Are you feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19? Please stay home. Appointments can be rescheduled by phone or email.
COVID NOTE: Due to the close physical proximity of students and instructors, students in hot glass and pottery classes will need to show proof of vaccination. Following New Jersey State’s definition, people are considered “fully vaccinated” for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine, and any booster doses for which they are eligible as recommended by the CDC. Instructors and students are also strongly encouraged to wear masks; however, it is not required.
