Working from a live model, learn to sculpt a portrait in clay! Topics covered include basic structure, the skeletal and muscle systems, traditional and contemporary concepts, and the expressive potential of portrait sculpture. Teaching Artist, Colleen O'Donnell will teach the proper use of tools and sculpture processes. You will be encouraged to explore the potential of the medium as well as personal expression. If you use air dry clay, you may take your artwork home at the end of the session. If you choose to use water-based clay, you can leave their artwork to be fired in the kiln. A materials list will be provided.
