Mix and Match: Glass Fusing for Beginners

In this weekend intensive, you will learn the basics of kiln fusing techinques. First, you will design and create a pattern that will ultimately be rendered in glass. The pattern will then be deconstructed and re-formed into something new. Collaboration among students is encouraged.
In this course, you will learn basic glassworking skills such as properly scoring and cutting glass. We will also explore the effects of glass at different temperatures and how these different temperatures can produce different effects in the glass. We will also discuss different types of annealing schedules and explore other methods of kiln-fired glass.
