In this weekend intensive, you will begin your creative journey into the kiln casting process! With the Guidance of your instructor, you will begin by sculpting a rendering of your choice into clay to produce a fully finished low relief object.
Throughout this course, you will form a solid foundation of skills to expand upon for further investigations into other kiln casting techniques. A few examples of the skills that will be covered include mold making, how to construct mold boxes and surface treatments to achieve various effects for their projects. We will also discuss annealing schedules and touch upon
other applications for kiln-formed glass.
