Monotyping is a type of printmaking made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. Historically the surface was a copper etching plate, but in contemporary work, it can vary from zinc or glass to acrylic glass. In this two-day workshop Teaching Artist, Anna Kuczynski, will guide you as explore using oil paint within the monotyping process. In the morning, you will explore the technique of monotyping using 2 or 3 types of papers and will create a couple of trial works, 8”x10”. After your morning practice, you will work on larger pieces, 14”x18” or 9”x12”.

*Class and materials fee pays for one, two-day session.
