Take the next step with your encaustic painting skills. In this “next steps” workshop, Anna will help you build on your current skills and will introduce a new technique, encaustic monotype calligraphy. During the Monotype Collagraphy workshop, an anodized aluminum plate serves as a palette as pigmented wax is painted on the plate. Using encaustic with a brush or tools, you will create an image using encaustic brushes and tools to create a one-of-a-kind monotype. The image of the encaustic work is then pressed onto paper thereby creating a truly unique painting that cannot be repeated! All materials are included in the class and are covered by your class fee.
