In colonial days, fresh fruits were preserved in vinegar to keep summer's essence lasting well into the cold months. The tradition continues today in the form of shrub. Use as you would any flavored vinegar, in salad dressings, drizzled onto a fruit salad, or create a surprisingly refreshing beverage with the combination of seltzer water. Shrubs also add a layer of flavor to mixed drinks, with or without alcohol.
Each bottle comes with a recipe card that includes the flavored shrub as an ingredient, just to get you started.
