Evenings with Amy, 4/18 Wheel & Handbuilding

“Evenings with Amy: Wheel Throwing and Handbuilding”

April 18, 2020, Saturday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Fee: $75
Ages: 16 & above, Class Limit: 6, Class Minimum: 3

Experience two clay forming techniques in one evening! Artist, Amy Peseller, will guide you through the techniques of hand-building and wheel throwing in the main room of our pottery studio. Amy will provide one on one instruction while still allowing freedom for you to have fun together. Your time in the studio will be divided between wheel throwing and hand-building, with plenty of time for sips, snacks, and socialization in between.

The experience will begin with an introduction of basic hand-building techniques to create a small vase. For groups of 4 or more, the group will be split between the wheel and the hand-building table. Don’t worry, our studio is cozy and you will all be in the same room.

At the end of the experience, you will have made 4 to 6 pots on the wheel and 1 handbuilt vase. There will be 4 beautiful colors of glaze for you to choose from. Post-experience, Amy will personally glaze and fire your pots. The ceramic process takes time. Your pieces will be ready to pick up or ship in about one month.
