Experience two clay forming techniques of handbuilding and wheel throwing in the main room of our pottery studio. Amy will provide one on one instruction while still allowing freedom for you to have fun together. Your time in the studio will be divided between wheel throwing and handbuilding, with plenty of time for sips, snacks and socialization in between.
The experience will begin with an introduction of basic handbuilding techniques to create a small vase. For groups of 4 or more, the group will be split between the wheel and the handbuilding table. Don't worry, our studio is cozy and you will all be in the same room. While you are handbuilding, snacks will be provided!
At the end of the experience, you will have made 4 to 6 pots on the wheel and 1 handbuilt vase. There are 4 beautiful colors of glaze for you to choose from. Post-experience Amy will personally glaze and fire your pots. The ceramic process takes time. Your pieces will be ready to pick up or ship in about one month.
Please note: Registration is not confirmed until it is processed and you have received a confirmation email from the education coordinator. Seats are limited and booked on a first come, first reserve basis.
