Dary-eyed Junco by Ray Yoast. This carved wood bird was made by local New Jersey woodcarver, Ray Yoast. This realistic song bird is sitting on the frosty ground on a crisp winter's morning. A carved wooden leaf rests nearby waiting to be flipped over. Dary-eyed Juncos are a member of the sparrow family and can commonly be found throughout North America. They forage on the ground and mainly eat seeds with an occasional insect mixed in.
