Join bio-artists Robert and Sarah Beck in a hands-on workshop! Based on their installation research of sustainable food production systems, they will explore with you alternate nutrient sources to conventional and commercially produced fertilizers. Topics will include composting, human urine, and vermiculture. Hands-on activities will include proper maintenance of a worm bin, building healthy compost piles, and best practices for brewing compost tea as a soil additive and foliar feed. A one-hour lunch break will take place during the class.
