DESCRIPTION:This workshop will introduce the foundations of advanced stemware and use them to identify and challenge the role of skill within studio practice. Participants will discover ways to tighten up their working procedures as both gaffer and assistant in exercises that will challenge them to reconsider elements of time\, temperature\, physics\, and risk while at work. Technical focal points will include tips for blowing thinner bubbles\, breaking down the 1- and 2-part avolio\, accepting blown feet\, hot assemblage strategies\, and introducing a deeper understanding of punty architecture. \nSaturday & Sunday: June 14 & 15 \nClass Duration: 14 hours total\, 2 sessions \nTime:  10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. \nLocation: Glass Studio \nAges: 16 and above \nClass Limit: 4 to 8 \nClass Fee: $300 \nInstructor:  David Schnuckel \nPrerequisite: Advanced-Beginner Glassblowing  \nRegistration Closing:  June 7 \n\nSeats are limited and booked on a first-come\, first-reserve basis. A $25 fee is charged to those who do not show up for their appointment.
