DESCRIPTION:Explore the timeless art of basket weaving with the New Jersey Market Basket—a versatile basket originally designed for the traditional “going to market” purpose. Today\, these baskets have evolved into multifunctional items\, serving as stylish containers for collecting fresh vegetables from your garden or convenient carriers for your belongings to and from the car\, among other practical uses. \nIn this workshop\, you will discover the intricate techniques of basket weaving and have the opportunity to craft your own market basket using a specialized mold. The approximate dimensions of your finished masterpiece will be 10 inches in length\, 8 inches in width\, and 5 inches in height\, providing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. \nPlease be aware that the availability of supplies may vary. \nSaturday Instruction: April 20 \nClass Duration: 1 Session\, 6 Hours \nTime:  10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. \nLocation: TBD \nAges: 13 and above \nClass Limit: 4 to 10 \nClass Fee: $140 \nInstructor: Mary May \nPrerequisite: None \nRegistration Closing: April 13 \n\nSeats are limited and booked on a first-come\, first-reserve basis. A $25 fee is charged to those who do not show up for their appointment.
