SUMMARY:Introduction to Conceptual Painting
DESCRIPTION:Painting is a beautiful way to express our perception of the world around us.  This class will focus on learning the techniques of capturing the representational world in order to morph them and have others see their vision by working with the familiar to the unfamiliar\, then combining the two. One project will be due the second week of the session\, and the other on the fourth. Students will not only learn how to handle each medium and learn different techniques\, but also the process before painting\, how to take care of their painting tools\, how to constructively help their fellow classmates\, and discover more about themselves.  \n*All materials are included in the class fee. \nSaturday Instruction: July 1\, 8\, 17\, &  22 \nClass Duration: 4 Sessions\, 16 hours total \nTime:  11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nLocation: Education Studio \nAges: 13 to 17 \nClass Limit: 5 to 10 \nClass Fee: $200* \nInstructor: Sumayyah Hayes \nPrerequisite: None \nRegistration Closing: June 17 \n  \n\nSeats are limited and booked on a first-come\, first-reserve basis.
